Wigwams (2007)

The "Wigwams" is the small housing estate, in small city of north-east Poland. Its occupants - unemployed, often with the criminal past and addicted to alcohol, but having their own mythology, dignity and dreams. They live such an intense life, that other people can see only in the TV. But most important is their codex, the code of the tribal community, which, despite of the everyday problems, requires the loyalty and brotherhood.

A Dress from Warsaw (2006)

"A Dress from Warsaw" recounts the experience of  Joachim, a former Wehrmacht soldier, who took photographs documenting his battalion”s invasion of Warsaw and the Jewish district during the first weeks of World War II. Decades after the war, Joachim puts his photos up for sale, reawakening his own memories and feelings about the war. His granddaughter Agnes”s interest in the photographs — particularly her interest in the photo of a young Jewish woman causes Joachim to confront the past and to recognize his own guilt and personal loss. The film is based on actual photos discovered in 1993 and weaves together fiction and non-fiction, the present and the past. The film fits in a current debate over there focusing specially on matters about the third and fourth generation after the Shoah.
